The State Ministry of Finance has informed all the heads of state banks to give relief to the loan premiums of entrepreneurs in the country.
The State Ministry of Finance had received complaints that entrepreneurs have been affected due to the increase in bank interest rates charged for loans taken from banks.
Accordingly, State Minister of Finance, Ranjith Siambalapitiya has made this notification after a discussion with the heads of state banks and has also requested that relevant concessions be given according to the guidelines given by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
The State Minister of Finance has also pointed out the responsibility to protect the banking system and has also instructed to furnish an urgent report on the concessions given to entrepreneurs to .the State Ministry of Finance.
