"Drug traffickers, murderers, rapists have no escape from me. They should all be sent to the gallows. To suppress these crimes, the death penalty should be implemented again. One day, I will leave the President's office after executing at least one criminal."
Maithripala Sirisena, who held the position of President of the good governance government of 2015-2019 altimetry went home not by giving the death penalty to the criminals, but by taking a bribe and releasing a criminal who was sentenced to death and allowing him to flee the country.
Who is the criminal released in this manner..? How did that act happen..? The whole story behind the screen is amazing. Not only Maithripala Sirisena and Ven. Athuraliya Ratana Thero, but several others were also involved in this incident.
This murder, which took place in the "Royal Park" super housing complex in Rajagiriya, Colombo, caused a great controversy in the whole country. A 19-year-old girl named Yvonne Johnson was killed.
Born and brought up in a millionaire family, a young woman of upper class, her father is Birmin Johnson. Mother is Chamalka Johnson. Their main source of income was manufacturing and supplying rubber bushings to BMW based in Japan.
They have two daughters. The eldest child is Caroline Johnson. The second is Yvonne Johnson. They lived with their parents in a house located in Rajagiriya Royal Park Super Housing Complex.
They did not feel so burdened about life or society. The two, who lived a playful life at a young age with plenty of money in their hands, spent their nights in clubs with their friends, smoking and boozing while having a joyful life.
Yvonne Johnson was romantically involved with Jude Shamantha Anthony Jayamaha, a young man from another millionaire family who resided in Timbirigasyaya. Not only did he constantly spend nights with his girlfriend in night clubs, but he also continued to smoke and booze and was even addicted to dangerous drugs like ice and heroin.
The peculiar fact here was Jude Shamantha Anthony Jayamaha’s afire with Caroline Johnson, the sister of Yvonne Johnson secretly. As a result, Jude Shamantha Jayamaha took steps to secretly spend nights with each other in clubs. But it was not possible to continue it for a long time. Yvonne Johnson got damned wild when she found out her boyfriend was having an affair with her sister. As a result of this detection, there were frequent conflicts between them.
The date was June 30, 2005. Caroline Johnson, having spent that night in a night club with Jude Shamantha, came to the Royal Park apartment complex with him in a luxury vehicle.
At that time, Jude Shamantha started climbing the floors of the Royal Park apartment complex to take Caroline Johnson home. There they had to face an unexpected event. Yvonne Johnson was waiting at the 18th floor of the apartment for them who had a heated argument with Jude Shamanta. Eventually, it escalated into a big brawl where Jude Shamanta strangled her to death. At the same time, Jude Shamanta and Caroline Johnson fled from the place.
This incident became a highly controversial murder in the country on 1st and 2nd July, 2005, when it was publicized in the electronic and print media. The Inspector General of Police immediately handover the case to the CID instructing them to arrest those who are responsible for the murder.
The successful investigations revealed that the murder was committed by Jude Shamantha Anthony Jayamaha, the lover of the murdered Yvonne Johnson. Accordingly, he was arrested by the CID and produced to Courts who was remanded. After a successful trial, the Colombo High Court found Jude Shamanta guilty of all charges and ordered him to be hanged. His family was deeply confused when he received the death sentence.
After that, his family tried hard to rescue him from the Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court. Jude Shamantha's family was ready to spend any amount of money for anyone who can rescue him from murder charges. It was from this point that powerful conspiracies were launched behind the scenes.
During the trial, the family made a concerted effort to make the CID’s murder investigation files disappear. If it was difficult to do so, efforts were made to change certain facts in the investigation files.
For this, Jude Shamanta's family managed to get several high-ranking police officers by spending money. One of them was Ashoka Galgamu, who was the Senior Superintendent of Police of the CID.
On several occasions, he has put pressure on the CID police officers who investigated the murder in order to get the files in to his hands. When the police officers questioned Ashoka Galgamuwa about this, he said that he wanted to see the contents of this file while demanding the file.
But those CID police officers did not accept his demand. Ashoka Galgamuwa had tried to destroy the file after getting it to his hand. Then the criminal will get the opportunity to escape the murder charges and go free due to the lack of evidence for the CID to conduct the court proceedings properly.
After him it was Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ravi Vaidyalankara, who was in charge of the Colombo Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division in the Maithri -Ranil Yahapalana government, who tried to get the investigation file into his hand. He also put pressure on the CID officers in his effort. But they did not agree to his demand.
For this, Sandra Marie Jayamaha, the mother of Yvonne Johnson's lover, Jude Shamantha, who was sentenced to the gallows, has spent 150 lakh. Kirulapana Thushari Menaka acted as an intermediary in getting this money. She was a close associate of Senior DIG Ravi Vaidyalankara.
Ravi Vaidyalankara used Thushari Menaka to get money from various people for underground work related to the police. Another live figure behind the screen was owner of the Thimbirigasyaya Aryapala Wine Stores, Ariyapala.
By using Kirulapana Thushari Menaka, the money he had accumulated is 8000 lakhs so far through various frauds and such tricks. Although this gang cheated a huge amount of money from the credit cards and bank accounts of Colombo millionaire businessmen they are able to sweep all these complaints under the carpet using their power.
Ravi Vaidyalankara used Thushari Menakava to gain money from the defendants by suppressing or distorting the complaints in order to give them the benefits, in the Colombo Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division. Thushari is known to the author of this article. So one day she told me a lot of things related to this deals, so I was able to know a lot of things that happened in these deals.
The author of this article knows Sandra Marie Jayamaha, the mother of Jude Samantha, who was sentenced to death for killing Yvonne Johnson too. I got to know her through Dr. Thenabadu, who resided in the Hyde Park Corner Super Apartment Complex in Colombo.
One day, at the invitation of Sandra Marie Jayamaha, this author went to her home in Timbirigasyaya and while chatting, she asked me to assist her to get her son Jude Shamantha released from prison. She also agreed to spend any amount of money for that. But I did not agree to it. She also told me the story of giving 150 lakhs to Thushari Menaka.
Another figure who advocated for the rescue of this man involved in the Royal Park murder was Supreme Court judge Rohini Perera. She is the ex-wife of Sunil Perera, the leader of the Gypsies musical band.
President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has now appointed Rohini Perera as the Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission. She even wrote a letter to an English newspaper and stated that it was inappropriate to punish the youth involved in the Royal Park murder.
Some group was discussing in a leading hotel in Colombo to release the files of this case from the CID. According to the conversation that took place there, it has also been agreed to give 20 million rupees to the person who can do it.
Senior DIG Ashoka Wijethilaka has come to know about this. He had immediately informed the CID authority that some people are getting ready to rob these files from the CID and to immediately take steps to keep the files safe. He has further told the CID officers that one leaf in this file is worth as much as one million rupees, so protecting them should be a priority task of the CID.
DIG Lionel Gunathila has also received information that a group including Senior DIG Ravi Vaidyalankara, SSP Ashoka Galigamuwa are planning to displace these files from the CID. He also immediately informed the CID officers and asked them to ensure the security of these files.
Knowing that it would be difficult to make the files disappear from the CID, the conspirators next asked CID investigation officers to distort the facts in the reports. The first step has been to change the dates of the D.N.A test reports.
A DNA test was done on July 3, 2005 at the place where this crime took place. It was carried out by Borella Gintech Institute under the supervision of Maya Gunasekara and Ileperuma. On the orders of Colombo Chief Magistrate Amaali Ranaweera, the CID officers have also gone to the place in the official vehicle of DIG Sisira Mendis to conduct the investigation.
The conspirators who wanted to distort data pressured the CID officers to change the data of the files as 2nd July which was conducted on 3rd. Then it was the goal of those people to use it as a trump card and free him from the murder case. But the CID officers did not agree with that.
Next person who came to the scene was famous cricketer, Tony Opatha. He has called Abeysinghe, the Colombo Forensic Medical Officer who conducted the post mortem of the murdered Yvonne Johnson to request to meet him.
At this time, the Forensic Medical officer had asked him what the need for the meeting was. Then Tony Opatha informed him that he wanted to change some facts in the autopsy report. The Doctor who completely refused it had disconnected the phone.
But Tony Opatha had not given up his effort. Another day, Toney Opatha had contacted the mobile phone of Forensic Medical Officer Abeysinghe who was in Karapitiya area for a requirement of his daughter, to give him a chance to meet him. But the Doctor refused, stating that he had come to Karapitiya for some work and disconnected the phone.
But he did not give up and started dialing his mobile continuously. The Doctor had switched off the phone since it became a nuisance for him. After about three hours, the Doctor switched on the phone and noticed that Tony Opatha had dialed his phone several times.
A few moments later, Tony dialed the Doctor’s phone again and when he picked the call Tony had told that he had come to Galle and requested a place to meet him. The Doctor who could not bear the pressure furthermore told him to come to his office in Colombo the next day.
The next day, when Tony Opatha went to that office to meet Doctor Abeysinghe, he had summoned two of his junior Doctors to his office and asked Toney the reason for this appointment.
Then he requested to amend the Forensic Medical Report in favor of the accused. But the Doctor did not agree and complained about this interference to President's Counsel C.R. De Silva who worked in the Ministry of Justice.
Later, he informed the CID to conduct a full investigation into this matter. Accordingly, the CID officers went to Dr. Abeysinghe's Panadura residence and recorded a full statement as a result of which all the facts related to this case had come to light.
Next, Jude Samantha's family met Rev Athuraliye Ratana Thero because he had very close connections with former President Maithripala Sirisena during the Good Governance government. Accordingly, Rev. Athuraliye Rathana Thero undertook the contract to do this in a proper manner.
According to the plan, at the first stage Rev. Athuraliye Ratana Thera met Maithripala Sirisena and negotiated with him to abolish Jude Samantha's death sentence and convert it to life imprisonment. The amount exchanged for this deal was 200 lakhs.
He was transferred from Welikada Prison to Kuruwita Prison. He, who was heavily addicted for drugs, was enjoying the same to the maximum in the prison. The next step initiated from that point.
When Maithripala Sirisena was about to leave the office of the President, Rev. Athuraliye Ratana Thero intervened again and negotiated with President Mithreepala and took steps to grant Jude Shamantha a presidential pardon and release him. The transaction was 300 lakhs.
As soon Jude Shamantha was released from prison, steps were taken to take him out of the country and send to some other country via Singapore. Jude Shamanta's mother, Sandra Marie Jayamaha, did a great job in that. She is also a fun character who smokes and boozes and spends time in night clubs.
This is how former Prescient, Maithreepala Sirisena who was bragging to enforce the death sentence on murders along with Ven, Ratana Thero free a criminal who was sentenced to death on a bribe.
Recently Maithripala Sirisena participating in a program of Derana TV stated that he did not get any money to release him. He said that he did not know whether Athuraliye Ratana Thero had taken the money. Is he saying these things to make us accept them as true..? Will those who took it accept it..?
Needless to say, that this incident is linked with a sexual bribery too. Can Rev. Athuralye Ratana Thero refuse this accusation..? Looking back at his rogue nature and behind-the-scenes stories, it is possible to say no either. It is a wonder how does Sri Lanka survive when the country is ruled by such devils. Hence people of this country should take steps to kick out all these culprits soon.
