Nirav Modi was arrested for a Bank Scam

All his valuables were brought back from Hong Kong

The Enforcement Directorate of India had taken into custody Diamonds, Pearls and Silver jewelry worth approximately Rs. 13.5 billion, belonged the wealthiest Diamond Merchant, Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi from a logistics Company in Hong Kong.

Nirav Modi was arrested by London Police for a Bank scam of 1.8 billion dollars who was bailed out subsequently. The consignments were brought to Navi Mumbai on Wednesday  and they weigh approximately 2,340 kg,” an officer attached Enforcement Directorate told media.

“Once the Hong Kong authorities gave clearance and customs cleared the consignments, the jewels were sent to India,” he added further.

The Indian government had requested from British authorities to send him back to India.

It was Modi who supplied jewelry for Bellwood cinema.
