Special flights to get back Sri Lankan students

A large number of students who were pursuing higher studies in foreign countries are stuck being unable to come to Sri Lanka due to the Airport being closed. The government hopes to get them down listening to their grievances, made mostly via social media.   

Accordingly 115 Sri Lankan students stranded in Pakistan will be brought to Sri Lanka by a special plane today. 102 students from India will be brought back to Sri Lanka at the second stage.

Arrangements have been made to get down another group of students who are stuck in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and Russia.

After getting down the country, these students will be undergoing formal quarantine in established centers.
