No pension to Politicians under our administration

"The robbed properties and wealth will be taken back"

Presidential candidate of National Peoples’ Power Anura Kumara Dissanayake addressed a large gathering at the rally held in Galle on Monday ( 4).

After coming to Presidency he will grant two months for Politicians and Government Officers to handover the properties and wealth stolen from the government.

He addressing the gathering further pointed out……

“What type of a political structure do we need?

There is no point in hanging on to an outdated political party. This country can be changed only if you change. A country to be developed, the rule of Law should be established. We have to build a country where law will be equally applicable to every one without difference. No country flourished in the world where the law became the will of the leader. If the husband destroys properties of the house, it too will go to devastation. We do not have criminals to protect. We do not have Hypocrites to protect. We have no Frauds and corruptions to hide. If the country wants to create a government that has the rule of law, it can be done only by a people’s power.

To build a country, the governance should be free of waste and corruption. There is no country that was established by a rogue. This country has been governed by two major political parties for 71 years. Still this country is a poor county according to any criteria. This country was put to that level by these politicians.

Those who are in our political stage are professional in various fields. They are engaged in various social activities. They have been in politics for a very long time. But they did not waste a single penny of public. Only we will be able to get back stolen state properties. We are coming to power not to take revenge from anyone. Our sole intention is to get back what robbed by these politicians that belong to common people of this country.

If I come to power on 17th, my first duty will be to grant a grace period until 17th January 2020 to harmlessly hand over what were robed from the state. If anyone fails, it will be investigated within a short period of time and assured that the properties will be returned to the government back. The administration of a country should be free from fraud and corruption to develop it.

If the leaders are using super luxurious vehicles manufactured by leading Companies in the world, can they eradicate the waste in this country? Parliamentarians get a pension for simply serving for 5 years. This is unjustifiable. When we come to power, the pension paid to politicians will be ceased”.
