
University students emphasized that after President and leader of the United National Party, Ranil Wickramasinghe;s retirement from politics, Navin Dissanayake is the most suitable profile for the leadership of that party and the country.
Expressing their views to "lankanewsweek" regarding the future of the country and the United National Party, Heshan Sampath Thilakaratne, Antony Agash Vaz, Geeth Tharuka Munasinghe of the Sri Lanka Technical University, Erandi Anuradha Subhasinghe, Akila Shehari Dulanjali of the Sri Lanka Institute of Accountancy, Achinta Madura Samarasinghe, Samith Isuranga, Lumbini Pramodhya, Nilanthi Manel, and Hemantha Thusita Kumara of Sri Jayawardenapura University said while adding further that.
"It must be said that Navin Dissanayake who is a Sinhala Buddhist leader from the hill country, is a global political leader and is respected and trusted by the minorities as well. He is only second to Ranil Wickramasinghe in terms of political practice, experience, experience and political tactics.
Navin Dissanayake, who has won the attraction, trust and respect of the youth of the country as well as the UNP and the independent and other voters, is lawyer and barrister and also holds a Master's degree in Finance and Financial Law.
