Parliamentarian, Dallas Alahapperuma, revealed that there are about 4910 registered Wines Stores in the country out of which over 2000 belong to either present or former Parliamentarians.
He also emphasized that when the country's policy makers have become liquor dealers and drug dealers, instead of checking school children's bags, they should check the homes of drug dealers.
Dallas Alahapperuma expressed these views while attending a media briefing organized by the Nidahas Janata Sabha in Colombo on Monday (26), where he also said:
"I will never hesitate to mention the names of these Parliamentarians. I am not involved in this sin. I will expose all those things when the required time comes. I invite you as media organizations and as investigative journalists. Either correct me if I am wrong. Tell the country if my revelation is incorrect. Otherwise, proceed based on that information. I will work together with you to share the necessary information with all the data."
