Why the delay in approval

Professor Prasanna Perera, Department of Economics & Statistics, University of Perdaeniya referring to a post in face book says that the Sports Ministry has delayed the approval for the Sri Lankan team to participate at the Asian Men's Classic Powerlifting Championships 2022 to be held in the United Arab Emirates. 

The event will take place from 2nd December to 7th December 2022. Since the UAE Embassy was closed day before yesterday and yesterday, he is highlighting the possible delay from the part of the Embassy.

Somehow Professor Prasanna has referred the matter to relevant authorities including President Ranil Wickremasinghe,  Roshan Ranasinghe Rohana Dissanayake, Sudath Chandrasekara Amal Edirisooriya Amal Harsha De Silva Ranil Wickremesinghe Karu Jayasuriya Arjuna Ranatunga and Patali Champika.
