Maithri decided to take disciplinary action

Former President and leader of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party has decided to hold a disciplinary inquiry against 8 MPs of the party who got ministerial positions of the government going against the decision of the Central Committee.

Even though the Sri Lanka Freedom Party had decided not to get any ministerial position in the government, Nimal Siripala De Silva and Mahinda Amaraweera got cabinet minister positions while Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Chamara Sampath Dasanayake, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Jagath Pushpakumara and Shantha Bandara got the state minister positions.

The Deputy Chairman of the SLFP, Professor Rohana Lakshan Piyadasa confirmed that disciplinary inquiries will be held against them as per the power vested with Maithripala Sirisena as the leader the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
