Former President Maithriepala Sirisena has come forward to stand for British citizen Kayleigh Fraser whose visa had been canceled by the Immigration and Emigration Department of Sri Lanka.
The Immigration and Emigration Department has taken steps to cancel her visa since she was actively engaged in the Gall Face struggle to oust former President Gotabya Rajapakshe from his position.
Along with former President Maithriepala Sirisena the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Women's Front and Youth Front have come forward to stand up for her rights in this regard.
A discussion took place between the British girl and the heads of women and youth fronts of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party which was headed by former President and Sri Lanka Freedom Party Chairman, Maithripala Sirisena to discuss the next steps to be taken in this regard.
In this discussion it was decided to take further action for her rights in Parliament and in political and social movements.
