Karu should be appointed as the Prime Minister who is acceptable to all

The election can be held later on

When looked from every angle, the country is in an acute economic and social crisis. Therefore, all that needs to be done at this moment is to appoint a Prime minister who is acceptable to everyone. The Elections Department sources discoursed, it will take at least a year to go for an election.

An interim government can be appointed for that one year period. But there is a problem in appointing an acceptable Prime Minister. In this case, one proposal is to appoint Karu Jayasuriya as the Prime Minister who has no corruption and crime charges , by bringing him to parliament after sacrificing one MP who entered the parliament from the national list from Samagi Jana Balawegaya.

We remember how Karu Jayasuriya fought hard with the present ruling party to defend democracy while he was the Speaker. It was Karu Jayasuriya along with Mangala Samaraweera who gave a huge contribution in completing the 19 amendments.

Therefore, an interim government could be formed under the leadership of Karu Jayasuriya and an election could be held soon. It will be more successful to appoint the most impartial person as the Speaker during that period and bring a no confidence motion on the President. Most probably, ways will be created  temporary to over come the economic crisis utilizing  the international image and relations of Karu Jaysuriya.
