India has agreed to increase its $ 500 million loan facility by another $ 250 million to purchase fuel.
Accordingly, the loan facility of US $ 500 million agreed to be provided for the purchase of fuel has been increased to US $ 750 million.
The facility has been granted on the request made by Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksha during a meeting with the Indian Foreign Minister in Colombo.
