Former President and Leader of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, Maithripala Sirisena emphasized that the 20th Amendment to the Constitution should be abolished immediately and the the 19th Amendment should be brought again after rectifying shortcomings.
Mr. Sirisena points out that the SLFP is ready to lead a new journey by formulating a broad national policy under a new coalition Government which is free of thieves, corruption and fraud, and that no single political party can form a Government again.
Former President and Leader of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Maithripala Sirisena made these observations while addressing the Matale District Convention of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party held at The Grand Mountain Hotel, Matale.
Former President Maithripala Sirisena also pointed out there that the Government had struck Minister of State for Educational Reforms, Open Universities and Distance Education Promotion Susil Premajayantha over the boundaries.
Former President Maithripala Sirisena further stated in this meeting that there are thieves everywhere from the Pradeshiya Sabha to the Parliament and that the person who takes commissions from the sand permits while in the Pradeshiya Sabha and takes commissions when he enters the Parliament from projects and tenders.
