Taliban extremists have entered four major cities, Herat, Lashkar, Ga and Kandahar in southern and western Afghanistan on Sunday (01) and were in a heavy battle with the government troops to capture the power of these cities.
With the announcement that all foreign troops, deployed in Afghanistan will withdraw by September this year, Taliban extremists have accelerated capturing of the remote villages of the country. Foreign media reported that it is unclear how far the government troops will be able to protect the power of these four cities.
Thousands of civilians in these cities have been displaced due to heavy battles. Taliban officials say their fighters have taken control of 85% of territory in Afghanistan by now.
