Afghan Army Chief, General Wali Mohammad Ahmadzai has scheduled to visit India this week several months ago. Afghan Embassy said that the scheduled visit during 27 to 30 July has been postponed due to the offensive by the Taliban in Afghanistan.
“The visit was postponed because of the intensity of the war and Taliban’s increased assault and offensive” in the country” stated the Afghan Embassy.
During this official tour Ahmadzai was scheduled to have discussions with his Indian counterpart, General M.M. Naravane and to meet National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and other top Rankers of the Indian Security Forces.
