Fighting between Taliban extremists and Afghan forces has escalated over the past two months as US forces begin to withdraw from Afghanistan. Extremists up to now have taken control of half of the country in battles.
The Afghan government has imposed a month long curfew across the country from Monday (26) to stop further expansion of the power of Taliban militants.
The curfew will be effective from 10 pm daily to 4 am the next day in all parts of the country, except its Capital, Kabul, and two other provinces.
