Iraqi residents have been in a protest from October this year against the government for corruptions, high unemployment and poor infrastructure facilities in the country. They pointed fingers at the Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi for curbing the protest instead of giving solutions to the issues.
In the suppression carried out by government forces, around 400 protesters had been killed.
In the after math of the non settled prolonged protests, the Prime Minister decided to resign from the position and tendered his resignation yesterday which has been accepted by the Parliament today.
