Southern media that makes Sumanthiran an apparition..!

In the mid of 2015 Presidential Election, Rajapaksha got former General Secretary of the UNP , Thissa Aththanayake who worked for his victory to make a huge revelation. It was about a secret pact between leader of TNA Sambanthan and Ranil together with Maithree for the victory of Maithreepala. It was mentioned that Ranil had agreed to grant the “ Elama” to North. The state media as well as Pro Mahinda media gave a twenty four hour publicity to this news. This Agreement contained Ranil’s and Sambanthan’s signature. Mahinda got it exposed through Thissa to get credibility to this by denoting that Thissa got a copy of this Agreement by the time he broke away from the party. But this Agreement did not bring any results at the Presidential Election. Maithree won. Ranil became the Prime Minister. Thissa was taken in to custody for making forged documents. President’s Counsel Kalinga Indrathissa who appeared on behalf of Thissa explaining the case stated that if any inconvenience or loss had been caused To Ranil Wickramasinghe or Maithreepala Sirisena by publishing this Agreement, his client agrees to beg pardon and the accused will never repeat this mistake. Thissa got released. The matter was settled.

This time a document related to a secret pact did not come out either the imprisonment of Thissa or the court case was in mind. But at the last week before the Election, a statement, claimed to be made by TNA Parliamentarian Sumanthiran came to light. It was Sumanthiran’s request from the North Tamil community to vote for Sajith to defeat Sinhalese. Now Sumanthiran had executed legal action against the media institute that published this news.

When the Presidential Election was declared, Mahinda got a third party to communicate to Sambanthan that he is willing to meet him. Before this Mahinda had met Sambanthan on few occasions. But this time Mahinda made a special request to bring Sumanthiran along with him. Sumanthiran did a colossal service to defeat the conspiracy of appointing Mahinda as the Prime Minister at courts and bringing back Ranil to the Premiership. As result Mahinda and Pro Mahinda media attacked Sumanthiran severely. Mahinda wanted Sambanthan to accompany Sumanthiran to mitigate the shame. By this time there were signs of Sajith getting nominations from UNP as the Presidential candidate. When Mahinda thought that Sumanthiran, Sambanthan and TNA did not have a impression about Sajith, Mahinda tried to get their support to Gotabaya. When Mahinda requested their support to Gotabaya , both Sambanthan and Sumanthiran told that they cannot support Gota even though they can consider of supporting Mahinda. Then Mahinda requested from them to meet Gotabaya and forward their requirements to him. When Mahinda’s request was forwarded to the Parliamentary Committee of TNA, it gave permission to Sumanthiran to meet Gotabaya and discuss. Sumanthiran met Gotabaya along with Mahinda. Sumanthiran forwarded few requests and Gotabaya responded positively for all requirements except one. When Sumanthiran furnished these requirements to Sajith, he directly stated that he can’t lose Southern Sinhalese votes by agreeing to these requirements. Mahinda who realized that TNA is frustrated about Sajith, again requested Sumanthiran to meet Gotabaya. Tamil LTTE Diaspora got Jaffna University student councils to form a list of conditions that no Southern political party will agree. Prabakaran got the Election boycotted to defeat Ranil in 2005 through the Jaffna University student councils. Mahinda thought that this time too Election will be boycotted in Jaffna. Mahinda and Gotabaya requested from Sumanthiran to boycott the Election if they can not support them. Rajapakshers who had connections with Tamil LTTE Diaspora told Mahinda and Gotabaya that they stated that they are pressurized by Tamil LTTE Diaspora not to support Sajith. Rajapakshers thought that Ranil is the only person who can get the TNA support but he will not do that due to the disagreement between him and Sajith.

But Ranil made agreements to get TNA support to Sajith at the last two weeks disappointing Rajapakshers. TNA walked out from the conditions forwarded by Jaffna students’ councils surprising Rajapakshers. First Sambanthan’s party moved out. After that TELO. TNA declared their support to Sujith. They made the declaration after getting Ranil’s agreement for conditions they forwarded to Gotabaya. EPRLF and other associations which are linked to Tamil LTTE Diaspora and Rajapakshers got dammed wild when TNA support was declared to Sajith. They witnessed the falling of their dream of Election boycott in North. Pro Rajakashe media gave the maximum publicity to the statements made by EPRLF and Pro Tamil LTTE Diaspora parties that TNA had betrayed Tamils and they will boycott the Election. It was to indicate that even though TNA is supporting Sajtih they do not have Tamil votes in North. It was at the last few days that the TNA launched the Election campaign for Sajith’s victory. It was very clear from the number of Tamils attended to their rallies that still Tamils are with TNA. Prom Mahinda media and Rajapakshers started hammering Sumanthiran due to his involvement in all these things when they did not have any alternative. That is why they planted fake news that Sumanthiran requested from Northern Tamils to vote for Sajith to defeat Sinhalese.

They themselves forgot it. Now they try to grasp the Sinhala votes by highlighting TNA and Sumanthiran as an apparition. SLFP started battering UNP that they have a secret pact with LTTE and TNA from 1999. UNP lost all the Elections held from 1999 to 2015. But UNP won the 2015 Election even though the story of a secret pact to divide the country was going on. The General Election too won by UNP amid the same story. Now the UNP Government has completed five years. Still there is no sign of any betrayal. TNA still, is in the position that the UNP has not brought about justice to Tamils. Rajapakshers told that Ranil got the TNA support to get the Premiership back in the October conspiracy by agreeing to divide the country. That conspiracy also completed one year. But TNA had failed to get the LTTE prisoners released at least rather than dividing the country. Mahinda told in Jaffna recently that it was he who released the highest number of LTTE prisoners after rehabilitation. The families in which members disappeared in North, came to attack Sambanthan with brooms when the TNA declared support to Sajith claiming that TNA could not yet release the LTTE prisoners. There is a reason for the hatred of Northern Pro LTTE parties and associations over TNA. That is because the TNA acting as a barrier for Tamil LTTE Diaspora to get the international community support. Still a huge number of Pro LTTE people who evaded the country during the war, couldn’t get the foreign citizenship. European countries where these people sought political asylum maintain the position that they can get back to their country since a Government that looks after Tamils very well is in power. If Rajapaksha comes back to power, Tamil Diaspora can get citizenship, to collect money from European countries and get donations claiming that Rajapakshe Government is oppressing Tamils. . That is why they hate TNA and specially Sumanthiran for supporting UNP to defeat Rajapakshers. That is why they set fire on puppets of Sumanthiran in North , in front of the meetings of United Nations Human Rights Commission and in Geneva. Rajapakshers and Pro Mahinda media is fulfilling a contract of Tamil LTTE Diaspora by making by disgusting Sumanthiran in South and creating a hatred over Sumanthiran among Southern Sinhalese. It is the truth even though bitter.
