Ranil went to Templers Trees to meet Mahinda when he was getting ready to leave his official residence after his defeat in 2015 Presidential Election. After disusing about the transferring of power and when Ranil was to leave, Mahinda whispered something to his ear.

“ Do not trust this fellow. If he stabbed be who did a lot of things to him, stabbing you is nothing for him”

Mahinda made this comment on Maithreepala Sirisena who was getting ready to give oaths as the President. Ranil did not take Mahinda’s comment seriously. Ranil thought that Mahinda made this comment due to his inability to bear the pain and the anger. Very soon Maithree broke the promise of holding the General Election within 100 days. The Snakes Maithree invited to his house advised him that if the General Election is held so soon, Ranil and the UNP will be better established. Maithree dissolved the Parliament after 6 month when the UNP got rotten after creating an environment that UNP will not get the majority.

Atleast Maithree did not tell either Ranil or UNP about the date of the dissolution. By this time he was having discussions to join Mahinda. Surprising every one he decided to give nominations to Mahinda. It was only then Ranil remembered what Mahinda whispered to him on the next day of the Election. When Ranil came to know that Maithree had given nomination to Mahinda, he told this story to few Ministers who were around him.

What Mahinda told was correct. It was the crowned Prince of Bandaranayakes Anura Bandaranayake who revealed the true behavior of Maithree first. It was he who brought Maithree to politics from Polonnaruwa. Former leader of the SLFP and President Chandrika did not receive an invitation for the Annual Convention of SLFP in 2006. But the then Secretary General Maithreepala stated that he sent an invitation to Chandrika. He was performing a main character in Mahinda’s conspiracy of ousting Chandrika from the party leadership. It was Maithree who brought the proposal of ousting Chandrika from the party leadership. It was Maithree who was in the strong opinion of ousting Chandrika from the party leadership when seniors such as Jeyaraj Fernandopulle and John Amarathunga were dead against with this decision.

He feared that it will be a problem if Chandrika attended the Convention in which she will be removed and Mahinda will be appointed as the Party leader. Hence on the instructions of Mahinda he did not sent an invitation to Chandrika to participate at the party Convention. Anura Bandaranayake who got antagonized with Maithree’s action ,sent him a letter on 20th August 2006.

“The disgrace you did to Chandrika who adopted you in politics and made you a Minister, is not marginal. I have never seen an ungrateful person like you. I can remember your fake appreciations on her when she was the President. You told that everything she told was correct. Your have told her that the sun rises and sets and the earth rotates because of you. Your stories bring to my mind the poem “ Ba ba Blake sheep” what we leant in the beginning of our education.

These were Anura’s words. Chandrika too wrote a strong letter to Maithree for ousting her from the party leadership. When Maithree came to the funeral of Anura to read the message of President Mahinda Rajapaksha , she chased him away. Chandrik told that she can allow if Di Mu Jayarathne or some other senior comes to read the condolence message.

Then why did Chandrika get Ranil and UNP agreed to nominate him as the common candidate in 2015 who was considered as an ungrateful person. It was too a nice story. Maithree ousted Bandaranayakers from the party to come to the party leadership after Mahinda. In 2006, Basil had not joined the party. When Basil came and took over the party, Chandrika came to Maithree’s mind. From that onwards he started sending messages to Chandrika secretly. He told Chandrika that Rajapaksha is destroying the party and her to take over the leadership. Chandrika got Ranil and UNP’s consent to make Maithree the Presidential candidate to get him win and to take over the SLFP leadership.

“Ranil will govern the country. You take over the party leadership. I will remain as Willium Gopallawa.”

Maithree promised Chandrika in that manner. Ultimately Maithree became the leader of the party even without her notice.

He took over the party leadership from Mahinda promising him to protect him and his family from the court cases. The destruction started from that point. He wanted to become the Presidential candidate of SLFP in 2019. If not to get the UNP nominate him as the common candidate of UNP. He knew that Rajapakshers should be destroyed to get the party leadership of SLFP. He knew that Ranil and his associates should be destroyed to become the candidate of UNP. He put Basil behind bars to destroy Rajapakshers. Put Namal behind bars. Put Yoshitha behind bars. Framed charges against Mahinda and Shiranthi. He was finding a way to put Ranil behind bars after appointing the Commission to inquire in to Central Bank Bonds Scam. He knew that Rajapaksha family support is important to get the SLFP candidature. He got Gotabaya to close and screamed not to put him to accused cage in the Avanguard issue as if he is the Presidential candidate. Other hand took Sajith Permadasa to close to become the Presidential candidate from UNP to make use him against Ranil. He showed UNP that Sajith will be the Prime Minister if he becomes the common candidate of UNP. He got Gotabaya up from the Rajapaksha family to become the Presidential candidate though his shoulders. Today Gotabaya is the Presidential candidate of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna. Sajith is the Presidential candidate of the UNP. Maithree is counting days to go home. How it happened?

It happened since there is a God who controls the world as some believes. From the very first day of his Presidency he was searching those who will be a barrier to his becoming the Presidential candidate in 2019 and looking ways of destroying them. He promised after giving oaths as the President that he will not remain in the office even for a minute after his term is over. Very soon after becoming the President he sought the opinion of the courts to extend his term. He appointed Mahinda as the Premier after destroying the Constitution getting him agreed to nominate him as the Presidential candidate. To get the support of the Parliamentarians of the joint opposition he battered Ranil and the UNP Regime. Hit the Elephant on the earth. What he did from 2015 is to frighten Ranil and the UNP Regime instead of governing the country. It was done by his media unite. He and his media unite created news in media that tomorrow the President is going to take a stern action. A sudden amendment to the Ministries. Presidential commissions one after the other by fearing the country as if a Ghost. That is why the country got unsecured and Easter bombs got blasted.

He used Police and Security forces to find a way of taking Ranil in to custody under the allegation that there is an assassination conspiracy over him. Pro Rajapaksha media did not utter a single word against him. That is because Rajapakshers knew that he will destroy the UNP to pave the way for them to come to power. He hammering Rajapakshers for familyfavoritism , appointed his brother to as the Chairman of Telecom. Media was silent. When he was trying to purchase Russian ships through Maharaja Company, media was silent. It was only Lanka E News web site that gave publicity to this. He banned that web site. It was only Fonseka who stated without fear that President is totally responsible as the Minister of Security, Law and Order for the Easter attack. Rajapakshers or Podu Peramuna did not utter a single word. It was due to the fear of court cases. It was Basil who thrashed Maithree who knew him very well. He, while discussing with Maithree to get aligned, got SLFP Parliamentarians one by one to his side and made Maithree helpless.

He knew that Maithree does not have votes. Basil knew that SLFP got votes in the Provincial Council Election in 2018 due the SLFP leadership at villages. If Maithree or some other candidate contests at the 2019 Presidential Election, Basil knew that he will get a large portion of that votes. Basil made arrangements to ensure that not only Maithree but someone else too will not come to the Election from SLFP. Not only had that he paved the way at least Maithree will not get in to the stage of SLPP. He knew that if Maithree gets in to the stage they will lose votes that they already have. He saw SLFP as a cow. He got the rear potion of the cow that is useful.

UNP got the front portion of him considering his being unbiased at the Election as great victory of the UNP. As if the farmer feeds the cow UNP got the approval of the cabinet to give the ownership of President’s House after his retirement. Got agreed to give the Special Force guard. Agreed to pay the taxes of his newly imported cars. He should be sent to jail for destroying the Constitution instead of sending to the House in Pajet Road. Basil is slowly fishing the votes of SLFP. UNP is still thinking that Maithree will blast a bomb at the last moment. In 2015 at the last week of the Election he blasted a bomb by writing a letter to Mahinda. It was after 6 months from his Presidency when was a big shot. Now Maithree can only blast unharmed bombs. UNP hates Rajalakshers and SLFP hates Premadasers. It was only on 2 occasions that SLFP and UNP got aligned against the dictatorship. First was SLFP Alliance in 1992 against Premadasa. Second was UNP Alliance in 2015 against Rajapaksha. Furthermore the UNP will not sympathize Rajapakshers. SLFPers too will not sympathize Premadasers.

UNP should wash off their sins of 5 years over Maithreepala. There no wrong on that. He totally toppled the economic plan of Ranil by bringing a Security meeting. It was Maithree who stopped the investments of International Investor Soro by wasting his time without allowing him to when he came to Sri Lanka. It was he who described UNP as Robers. When a Government is investigating about the allegations of the opposition Parliamentarians after coming to power, people consider it as taking revenge. But if a Government which is in power getting Prime Minister and Ministers in to various Commissions , people will think that the Government is robbing under day light. The destruction Maithree did for UNP had not been done by Mrs. Bandaranayake ,Chandrika or Mahinda. If UNP got only 24% at the Elpitiya Election, it was Mithree who put UNP to that level.

It was Maithree who did not allow the Government to perform well by shuffling Ministries fro time to time and changing the subjects from hour to hour. What UNP should do is to punish Maithree for braking the Constitution and ask for power as a single party to show the people who to govern a country instead of donating a palace that values 10000 Millions. If UNP waits until Maithree blasts a bomb at the last moment, Maithree’s wrongs, Ranils wrongs and Ministers’ wrongs will be cut on the Swan and people will vote for Gota. From 2015 to 2018 all the important Ministries were given the SLFP. UNP should state that Maithree and Mahinda conspired against UNP for them to not perform well and pawed the way for the Easter attack after making the country unsecured. If UNP will not reveal these things to the people and try to clean Maithree, UNP will get untidy. UNP got hated by people 50% because of Maithree. 25% because of Ranil. 25% because of Ministers. UNP should not shoulder the 50% of Maithree. The reason is today Maithree is just like a Policeman who is retired.

Every one fears to take him to the stage as if a leprosy patient. The author of this article told that Maithree’s end will be very same of the end of Wijethunga on 12th June 2015. The heading of the article was” what is going to happen to Maithree is what happened to Wijethunga?” This author wrote this article after 6 month from Maithree becoming the President. Wijethunga went home and had a peaceful life. It is suspicious that Maithree will be able to have a peaceful sleep at least in his residence in Polonnaruwa or his Presidential Residence in Pajet Road for what he has done for these 5 years. Since the story of “even a King who ruled a country has to face the consequences of what he did” came from Polonnaruwa where Maithree was born.
