Deputy leader of the United National Party Sajith Premadasa has made arrangements to call on Heads of the local government bodies, Councilors and candidates of UNP to Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium on Saturday (7) to exert pressure to the UNP and UNF to get the Presidential candidature of UNF to him.

He had resorted to this step by violating the collective decision taken by the leaders of the United National Party led United National Front at a meeting held at the Temple Trees under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe on Friday (3) morning not to criticize the party as well as the leadership and commenting about the candidates until a decision is taken on the Presidential candidate after solving the matter through discussions.

He has invited the Heads of the local government bodies, Counselors and the candidates to fulfill a personal political objective not on the letterhead of the Deputy leader of the party but on the letterhead of Ministry of Housing, Construction and Cultural Activities.

A senior leader of UNP has told “lankanewsweek” that the conduct of the Deputy leader of UNP is totally against the discipline, law and traditions of the United National Party. The senior leader of UNP making further comments to “lankanewsweek” stated

“It has been revealed that it is a contract of President Maithrepala Sirisena and Kilee Maharaja which is implemented by Mr. Sajith Premadasa and Prime Minster Ranil Wickramasinghe had already received all the details about it. Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe knows the political party though which Sajith Premadasa will contest under the support of President Maithreepala Sirisena after breaking off from the UNP in case he will not get the Presidential candidature from the UNF. The common Citizens and the members of the United National Party should be aware of this hidden political agenda of Mr. Sajith Premadasa and President Maithreepala Sirisena, Kilee Maharaja, Tiran Alles, Maithree Gunarathne, Ranjith Keerthi Thennakoon, Shiral Lakthilake and Krishantha Cooray are the ones who are behind his effort of getting the candidature of the United National Front and his political propaganda. 

Their intention is to get the leadership of United National Party and the Presidency to Sajith Premadasa and appoint Maithreepala Sirisena as the Prime Minister. Hence their political motive is to divide the UNP and UNF by forming a broad political Movement and getting down the faction of Sajith out and to give the Presidential candidature of the Movement to Sajith and appoint Mr. Maithreepala Sirisena as the Prime Minister after winning the Election.

It is confirmed by the speech done by President Maithreepala Sirisena at the 68th anniversary celebration of the SLFP requesting all the parties that love the country and people to rally around the People’s Movement to be established by him giving prominence to the Prime Minister’s position who has the total power to governing the country disregarding the Presidency.

Eventhough the United National Party and Ministers and Parliamentarians of the party are coming to know about the political strategy of President Maithreepala Sirisena, Deputy leader of UNP Sajith Premadasa and Kilee Maharaja, at this moment, it was on 5th June under the headline of “ Sajith President- Maithree Prime Minister that “ lankanewsweek”

brought this to the knowledge of the country and the Citizens.

රටත් ජනතාවත් වෙනුවෙන් සියලු ජාතින් සහ ආගමිකයින් එකට ඒකරාශී කරමින් සිය නායකත්වයෙන් යුතුව ගොඩ නගමින් සිටින පුළුල් ජාතික මහා සන්ධානයේ 2020 ජනාධිපති අපේක්ෂකයා ලෙස එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂයේ නියෝජ්‍ය නායක සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතා නම් කිරීම කෙරෙහි ජනාධිපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මහතාගේ විශේෂ අවධානය යොමුව තිබේ.

මේ පුළුල් සන්ධානයේ ජනාධිපති අපේක්ෂකයා ලෙස සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතා නම් කෙරෙන්නේ ඔහු ජනාධිපති වුවාට පසුව ජනාධිපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මහතා අගමැති වරයා වශයෙන් පත්කිරීමේ එකඟතාවය මත බව ජනාධිපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මහතාගේ සමීපතමයා “lankanewsweek” මේ අලුත් දේශපාලන සන්ධානයේ ජනාධිපති අපේක්ෂකයා ලෙස සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතා නම් කෙරෙන්නේ, ඔහුට එක්සත් ජාතික පෙරමුණේ ජනාධිපති අපේක්ෂකත්වය නොලැබුණොත් පමණක් බව පෙන්වා ජනාධිපතිවරයාගේ සමීපතමයා, යම් හෙයකින් ඔහුට එම අපේක්ෂකත්වය ලැබුණොත් ජනාධිපතිවරයා සිය පුළුල් සන්ධානය සමගම ඔහු වෙනුවෙන් පෙනී සිටින බව ද අවධාරණය කළේය.

අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය රනිල් වික්‍රමසිංහ මහතාට එරෙහි එක්සත් ජාතික පෙරමුණ ද ,ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂය ප්‍රධාන එක්සත් ජනතා නිදහස් සන්ධානයද , සර්වාගමික නායකයින්ගේ සහ සිවිල් සමාජයේද ඇතැම් පාර්ශවයන් මේ තීරණය ගෙන තිබෙන්න්නේ එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂයේ නියෝජ්‍ය නායක සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතාට එම පෙරමුණේ ජනාධිපති ධුර අපේක්ෂකත්වය ලබා නොදෙමින් එම නායකයින් ඔහුගේ කකුලෙන් අදින අතර ඔහු නොසලකා හැර තිබෙන තත්ත්වය හමුවේය.

එක්සත් ජාතික පෙරමුණ අලුත් මුහුණුවරකින් සහ සියලු පාර්ශවයන්ට පිළිගත හැකි අයුරින් 2020 ජනාධිපතිවරණයට ඉදිරිපත් වන්නේ නම් සිය පුර්ණ සහයෝගය ලබා දෙන බවට ද එසේ නොවන්නේ නම්, එම ජනධිපතිවරණයේදී තමා ස්වාධීන වන බවටද ජනාධිපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මහතා ඔහුගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් අගහරුවාදා (04) පැවති කැබිනට් මණ්ඩල රැස්වීමේදී අවධාරනය කර සිටියේ මේ පසුබිම යටතේය.

මේ අතර එක්සත් ජාතික පෙරමුණේ පසුපෙළ මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් පිරිසක් අමතමින් ජනධිපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මහතා දැනුම් දී තිබෙන්නේ එම පෙරමුණේ ජනාධිපති අපේක්ෂකයා ලෙස සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතා ඉදිරිපත් කරන්නේ නම් තමා ඔහුට සහයෝගය ලබා දෙනවා පමණක් නොව ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂය ප්‍රධාන එක්සත් ජනතා නිදහස් සන්ධානය සමගින් ඔහුගේ ජනාධිපතිවරණ වේදිකාවට ද නගින බවය.

එක්සත් ජාතික පෙරමුණේ එම පසු පෙළ මන්ත්‍රීවරුන් ජනාධිපතිවරයාගේ මේ පණිවිඩය සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතා වෙත දැනුම් දී තිබෙන අතර ඒ අනුව තමා ජනාධිපතිවරණ සටනට නියත ලෙසම පැමිණෙන බවට සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතා විසින් අනුරාධපුරයේදී සෙනසුරාදා(08) විශේෂ ප්‍රකාශයක් කිරීමට නියමිතය.

මේ තත්ත්වය හමුවේ අරලිය ගහ ආරංචි මාර්ග සඳහන් කරන්නේ අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය රනිල් වික්‍රමසිංහ මහතා සහ එක්සත් ජාතික පෙරමුණ දේශපාලන වශයෙන් උභතෝකෝටික ප්‍රශ්නයකට මැදි වී සිටින බවය.

අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය රනිල් වික්‍රමසිංහ මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් අරලිය ගහ මන්දිරයේදී අගහරුවාදා (04) රාත්‍රියේ පැවති එක්සත් ජාතික පෙරමුණේ දේශපාලන නායකයින්ගේ රැස්වීමේදී ද මේ නව දේශපාලන ප්‍රවනතාවය සම්බන්ධයෙන් දීර්ඝ වශයෙන් කරුණු සකච්ඡා වී තිබේ.
