Suspicion whether Gota is an American conspiracy..!

The leftist parties representing Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna have focused their attention on fielding Dinesh Gunawardena as the presidential candidate through an Alliance after gathering all leftist parties.

A decisive meeting has been held on Saturday ( 27) at Colombo regarding this issue between LSSP leader Prof. Tissa Vitharana , General Secretary of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka Raja Kollure and the Leader of the Democratic Left Front Vasudeva Nanayakkara.

Mr. Wasudewa Nanayakkara who pointed out that fielding Gotabaya Rajapaksha as the presidential candidate of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna cannot be approved, further proposed that Mr. Diensh Gunawardena should be nominated as the presidential candidate of the Alliance of all leftist parties after bringing all these parties to a common stage.

The strong stance of the People United Front, Sri Lanka Communist party, Lanka Samasamaja party, Sri Lanka Mahajana party and the Democratic Left Front , the leftist parties representing Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna , was that they cannot approve the appointment of Mahinda Rajapaksha as the Prime Minister, Chamal Rajapaksha as the Speaker and Basil Rajapaksha as another strong Minister that will come simultaneously with the appointment of Gotabaya Rajapsksha as the President of the country.

The special attention of these leftist party leaders had been paid to the assurance that America has given to Gotabaya to completely release him by abolishing the citizenship once the nomination is due for the presidential election.

They took the stance that implementation of such a loose policy by America on Gotabaya Rajapaksha is suspicious.
