Dinesh Weerakkody to a high position at the Ceylon Hotel Corporation..!

Sri Lankan who was the Chairman of 03 major commercial banks..!

Mr. Dinesh Weerakkody, a leading banker in the country and a wealth of experience holding high positions in many state, national and international private institutions, has also been appointed as a Director of Ceylon Hotel Corporation PLC.

The new position is effective from January 21. He is currently the Chairman of Union Bank, a leading international bank. He voluntarily served as the Chief Advisor to former President Ranil and the Treasury. He also pioneered the creation of a new world-class environment as the Chairman of the Board of Investment (BOI) and the Head of Colombo Port City.

Mr. Dinesh Weerakkody was previously the Chairman of Commercial and Hatton National Banks, two of the country's leading commercial banks, and a director of DFCC Bank, rendering great service to the progress of those banks. He is also the immediate past Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce, the Senior Vice Chairman of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors, and holds senior positions in several other national and international companies.
